Taroko owns and operates multiple successful SaaS services and online properties, giving our developers the chance to work on different and exciting projects, and tackle new challenges daily. We are currently looking for qualified engineers who are creative, interested in solving challenging technical problems, and ready to deliver unique software solutions for our variety of products.

Our engineering team is inquisitive, motivated, friendly, and collaborative. We work independently, yet support each other during frequent code and design reviews – learning and working efficiently toward shortening our release cycles with as little friction as possible.

Job Requirements

  • You can design and implement code in Rails to develop new features, as well as perform feature maintenance on existing ones

  • You can produce clean, reusable code that conforms to standards set by the development team

  • You are confident enough to recommend system improvements and identify refactoring opportunities in the back-end of our code base

  • You have proven experience using test-driven and code-review development processes

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional environment working with Ruby (on Rails)

  • You have experience with code review and helping improve other developers’ code readability and reliability

  • You are experienced at recommending and leading architectural changes in an existing application, as well as new applications
