Build close working partnerships with managers & employees and serve as the principal HR contact for the organization.
Provide advice on areas such as performance management, commendation and recognition, holiday leave & personal time off, inclusion and diversity awareness, dispute resolution, discipline, adverse actions, and other general HR related matters.
Prepare and maintain employment records, pay changes, promotions, terminations and other employment activities.
Assists with and prepares changes in employment status, terminations, time-off request, documentation and compliance, including work permit and/or visa for non-residents.
Direct the execution of the performance review processes, including bi-annual assessments and ongoing check-ins.
Conduct onboarding & offboarding activities.
Supports the maintenance of HR records, including but not limited to taxation, benefits files, personnel and medical files, Health and Safety and Environmental training records, company policy, codes of conduct, etc.
Draft written employee notifications to include counseling memoranda, letters of reprimand, suspension and termination, and ensure such documents are within regulatory compliance and are legally sufficient.
Use a variety of HR Information Systems (HRIS) and tools to perform activities to recruitment & hiring process, including (but not limited to): support the announcement of vacancies, create job descriptions, post job adverts, review applicants, conduct research, schedule and conduct interviews from pre-screening to job offer.
